Hiking for three weeks in Salt Lake City totally lit the fuse for Chris and I to do more hiking in Montana. Chris had the whole weekend off so we went to East Rosebud Lake for an easy - but long - hike. Great weather, beautiful view and lots of memories. I used to go to East Rosebud Lake with Renee and her family when we were still in high school. Fun times! In fact, the last time I had been to the lake was before the fires of '96 so you can imagine how much it has changed. Before we went back to the car, I decided to walk down by the lake to point out Renee's old cabin to Chris. We literally ran into her brother, Ryan. What a great surprise. Anyway, here are some pics from our trip.
Start of the trail.
So beautiful!
This used to be a heavily wooded trail.
Happy to be out of the pack!
Enjoying the view of Elk Lake
Oh, I've been scolded for not including more pictures of us in this blog so I will try to do so.

I love that you hike as a family. Awesome shot of the charred trees. Whose eye was that? Very nice.. And as always, any pic of my sweet little neice is perfection. I love her strut! Can wait to see you!
